Report: QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE Rocks Hard, Fast On 'Era Vulgaris'
March 15, 2007Jonathan Cohen of Billboard.com reports that QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE runs the gamut of rock'n'roll on its upcoming album, "Era Vulgaris", due in mid-June via Interscope. Nine tracks previewed by Billboard.com find the Josh Homme-led group peddling fast, powerful riffs ("Sick, Sick, Sick", "Battery Acid", "3's + 7's") as well as more psychedelic, boogie-ish rhythms ("Suture Up Your Future", "I'm Designer").
Although NINE INCH NAILS' Trent Reznor and THE STROKES' Julian Casablancas have been tipped as guests on "Era Vulgaris", the only audible guest on the aforementioned tracks was on-again/off-again contributor Mark Lanegan on "River in the Road".
